Who is Selena Gomez’s vocal coach?
Hi, I’m Selena Gomez and I have been a student of Ron Anderson for a almost year. A little bit over a year. Thanks. That’s kind of fun. Now, when I first started music it was really nervous. I have gone through a couple of vocal coaches in Texas where I’m from and I tried some here. And I still felt like I’m hurting my voice because I have this low register and this raspy voice at the time. So I just felt like I was always in pain every time I went to the studio or every time I was performing. So I believe it was through Good Charlotte and their German tour manager that he said this vocal coach is amazing, you should try him one time and it was really nice.
But I’ll be honest, at first, I was very intimidated because he has worked with some amazing people and I was like oh my gosh, he’s gonna be disappointed with my voice. And he’s the nicest loving person and makes me feel extremely comfortable with my voice and even if I mess up he just makes me figure out the way really find my register. He makes my voice just richer and the second record I’ve done is a complete change from my first record and you can really tell it vocally because…
he has really allowed me to change my voice and go to different places of my voice but also just really keep the register that I have.
So I’m very very appreciative and I will not go to any other vocal coach. It’s actually like I refuse. See our Skype, see our chats he does on the phone. So I actually just recorded with him in Monte Carlo. We had to do it over the phone because I needed it and he’s just a good person. And he makes it really comfortable and this technique that he uses it makes me feel really good when I get in the studio and every time I go on stage I’m like my voice was great and I just did an hour and 15-minute set and my voice feels better than when it started.
I completely suggest you go to him and he is very sweet and wonderful and there’s a lot of people who know what he is doing and has the right technique. The best technique of all. I love him.
